Las Vegas to LA road trip by Kesia

What a long trip! Las Vegas to LA took us about 5 hours, when we were leaving we went to a shopping Mall and bought some stuff. We bought something for everybody. When we had finished shopping we went to the food court and had lunch. I had Burger King. When we had hit the road again we went through the desert and it was hot, we saw some really weird cactus trees that you will see in the pictures, lots of sand tornadoes and long long long long straight roads that went on forever! On the way as well we saw the Worlds BIGGEST thermometer. It was 96 degrees which is about 35c. When we were in LA finally we hit the traffic, Mum said if we hadn't stopped at the shopping mall we probably would have missed the traffic. When we finally got to our Hotel i went and did some washing with Dad and found a Starbucks while we were waiting for the washing. Tammy said there is a Starbucks on every corner and she was right! Jordan and I got a hot chocolate, Mum got a chai latte and Dad got a coffee. Watching TV now and are going to dinner soon.

Our Road Trip San Diego to Flagstaff by Kesia

It was a long drive from San Diego to Yuma where we stayed one night. It is a little town in the dessert, it is very hot there. The pool was freezing at our hotel that we stayed at. We went for dinner at Denny's and Jordan and I got to eat free. The next day we had a swim in the freezing pool and then had breakfast and then we jumped in the car and did another 4 hour trip. We stopped in Phoenix to have lunch and it was hotter in Phoenix! We went to Fridays for lunch. Then we got in the car again and travelled all the way to Flagstaff. When we got to Flagstaff it wasn't that hot as in Yuma and Phoenix. On the way in the car we saw lots of cactuses, the dessert, lots of pine trees, rocky mountains, sandstorms, big trucks, border patrols, lots of RV's and RV parks, Jordan and I only slept for about 1/2 an hour. When we got to our hotel in Flagstaff we had a swim and had indian for dinner. Today we are going to the Grand Canyon, it's about 1 hour away. We will put the photos on the blog.
